BensLife Update!:
So past couple days I've been monitoring Mushu closely and giving his meds, he's been doing way better! He is eating a pooping well now, and is back to his normal weight and self!

SummerGSDLover I'm sorry to hear this. Let us know what you end up finding out.

BensLife Update:
Mushu must have gone into the trash and pulled out a piece of bone when I wasn't looking. The vet did an anal exam and she pulled out pieces of bone. She's worried that it may have perforated his gi tract and would recommend me get X-rays and blood work done. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I want to monitor him and give him his prescribed medicine and hopefully he'll be okay. They also prescribed him with easily digested food so he can poop a little better. The bill right now is 380$ and wow I did not expect that from him going into the trash. I hope that the bone did not perforate his intestinal walls and that I don't have to worry about getting X-rays and blood work done. I should have gotten insurance sooner!):

mego with my puppy I spent a few hundred dollars on diarrhea before realizing giving her zero food for an entire day fixed it, or maybe after at least 12 hours chicken only (she hates rice). She never had giardia, parvo, etc but when she did get diarrhea sometimes a little blood would come out from all the straining, so I wouldn't be too paranoid yet.

((Over time I learned what things upset her tummy so I know when it's my fault feeding something vs a stomach bug, literally things like 1 scoop of peanut butter gives her squirts, or cheese, too much raw hamburger meat, etc lol)

hopefully it's nothing serious for you guys and your puppy (+ wallet) feel better soon!

BensLife So in at the vet right now, he's still not okay and the vet recommended 3 part fecal test including a parvo test. He's still having diarrhea and the vet saw some blood when he had a little accident.

I didn't know what I was going to expect, but a 300$ vet bill not including meds yet. Just for the people out there who want to get a puppy, make sure you have the funds to take care of your pup when it's sick!

SunCzarina He's hungry, sick and you just gave him a delightful meal. Let him be with it!

I have one that isn't so much food aggressive as he is food assertive. It's his food, he knows I bought it and gave it to him so he doesn't grumble at me when I lock him in the crate to eat it..

BensLife I'm feeding him boiled rice with chicken like the others posted and he's eating.

Other than that an issue I have with him when he's really hungry is that he's good aggressive):

SunCzarina I could have a stomach bug - mine have gotten it sniffing a sick dog's poop while out walking.

Chicken is good for a bad stomach. If you microwave it in about half a cup of water, it makes a broth that will make the rice taste better. I use boil in bag white rice

Msmaria You can also feed boiled chicken with the white rice. We don't eat alot of red meat in my house, but I always have chicken or fish readily available, so the chicken works for me
