Xeph Doesn't mean anything. Dogs with good hips and bad hips will lay like that.

Nigel Hafa Adai! My lab would lay like that, she would also lay with both legs stretched out straight behind her, never any hip issues. She's probably taking full advantage of the cooler floor.

stmcfred My older dog (a 9 year old 90 pound mixed breed) has laid like that since he was 6 weeks old. He has some arthritis in his hips, but no other hip problems. He's not a GSD though.

Madisonmj97 Probablyyy not... Mine lays like that sometimes too, it's comfortable for them I guess to stretch out like that.

Will laying down like this indicate future hip issues ???

Kuma pretty much lays like this all the time...very rarely lays on
her side...she is only 6 months old and this is my first puppy,
all first being a rescue dog. Is this a sign of possible future
hip problems ??
