It's amazing how athletic he still is. He looks and acts 3 years old when he's active. I think if I was going to create a companion breed, and I'm really not going to do that, I would start with labs and pits. I have met several very cool lab X pits, and they are very agile, social dogs.

Haha when Xena wants out she stands in the hallway and stares really hard at me. If I ignore her she gets all huffy and barks lol.

My old roommate had a pit/lab mix and that was one of the best dogs I've ever met. Sooo gentle, tons of energy outside, very mellow inside the house. Not very interested in other animals but just as a companion dog like you said I think it's a great mix

Alice13 Mine runs back n forth like crazy between the two sprinklers in her compound when they come out in the evenings. She only stops when she finally tires herself out.

Z is like that first thing in the morning, has to get her puppy zoomies out first thing. Runs around the living room, runs up the stairs to the bedroom or spare bedroom, runs back downstairs, runs through the kitchen, runs back through the living room and if I open the sliding door she and Hunter do their zoomies in the yard. SO cute.

Aww that's sounds adorable
