Good to hear. Definitely not a good idea to leave on the prong collar, especially loose, for fun!

I put the looser links back on it when we aren't training. I've just been taking it off now though when not in use so it isnt so heavy around his neck. This was taken almost two months ago when I was in love with how the collar looked. While training the prong is a lot tighter and up much higher. I'll try to get a picture.

DJEtzel Probably. They change so much at this stage...

Also, that prong collar is too big/poorly fitted. I would get a smaller collar and read about how to fit them for safe/effective use. Leerburg has a great article on the topic.

SummerGSDLover I've noticed just in the last week that he's starting to get tan on his shoulders and hips! So I can now see that he will be a saddle back, rather than the blanketback I was expecting! It's so exciting to watch him change. He's been the same for the past four months so these gradual changes are actual pretty noticeable to me. yay!

middleofnowhere I've found that they change at least until they are one, more gradual changes until two. I had one mix whose coat changed colors (not dramatically) from summer to winter.
