nikki777 Thanks for that. I will def bring her to a vet and monitor her teeth frequently and find more chew toys which will help the build up

NancyJ If your dog has tartar and things are bad enough she is loosing teeth, she needs to see a vet for a cleaning. All that nasty gunk can enter the bloodstream and shorten your dog's life.

I have had dogs loose a couple of teeth over the years due to accident. I don't normally brush but inspect, offer enough chew things to clean the teeth and occasionally have them cleaned.

Adult sheperd lost 2 teeth, should I be concerned??

Hey there just wanted to see if I can get some feedback on dogs dental care. I do admit I do not brush her teeth I used to but its a bit hard haha. She is 8 years old and has a good diet I would say, we give her bones and such which should clean her teeth a bit but I guess not good enough. Has anyone had issues of losing teeth?
