Cheyanna Fiona has vomited right before the heat, but never during. She is only on her 3rd now. i have never heard of this, but it sounds logical.

Bitch in heat vomits

Has anyone ever had their bitch vomit their food while eating, during the latter part of the estrus stage about 2 1/2 weeks into heat?

Twice this has happened where she regurgitates her food....and then will eat it up with no additional vomiting. It has only happened with her breakfast meal.

I read this a while ago and do not know if there is any merit to it..."When the female is in full heat- she is high on progestrone and Lh levels rise at the peak of heat. As she goes out of heat, these "natural chemicals" get secreted into the liver, then the liver expells them into the gut. Since she is going out of heat, but what is in the gut is " peak" heat progrestrone- its like oil and water- it frequently doesnt mix."
