Lexi (the bitch) cleared all her health tests and is just a temperament test away from her CHIC. Hips, elbows, thyroid, heart, knees. So I'm hunting for a good compliment to her conformation while we work on our titles. Since I'm moving to a more active area I hope to put some herding, rally, OB on back and some points and a CH on front before I move further. Any other pedigree-based suggestions or considerations are appreciated!

|Andaka||I would definately look for a stud that is not bred on the same lines as your bitch. The one you have chosen is probably a good choice. I love his sire - great producer of movement and temoerament.|

|marbury||To clarify, I own the bitch. I'm seeking an appropriate stud for the next few years after we get AKC titles on her.|

I second getting ahold of the 2013 gsdcc nationals. There were quite a few of his pups and grandpups shown. Jack has been bred a lot so you should be able to find plenty of info on what he produces. The pedigree database has a few dogs under his progeny.
He's a big boy and people that know him adore him. We have a Jack pup that comes into the store I work at and he is a very laid back, happy go lucky kind of dude. Very specialty style and will do well in the ring when he grows up.

Jack (the male) is from mar haven in California but resides here in Ontario Canada at lorretto kennels. If you can get a copy of the 2013 Canadian nationals jack and a few of his kids were shown. Jack is a beautiful black gsd with an excellent temperament and big movement

Yes, very 'popular line' bred dam. Is this a good breeding or too heavily linebred? Any input on the sire?
Thanks for the input so far!

Daphne knows WAY WAY more than I do about pedigrees. WAY more.
At a quick glance I see a lot of Dallas on the dam's side. I recognize several dogs on the dam's side (Aregon, Stealing The Show, Bailey, Calvin, Danny Boy) and Karizma on the sire's side. I have a bitch who is a Bailey (CH. Kenlyn's Aries V Hicliff) granddaughter.
That's all I've got.
