|Sealdoc||I have found one, in my communications with them they said I can come any time and to bring pup to get tested. Good to know I should wait until all his shots are done. I would have figured those dogs would be safe to be around.|

Go before you have a puppy!
By watching the other teams and how the handlers train you'll learn so much, even if you aren't working your own puppy too much at club. Pay attention to them, ask questions.
Even if you aren't training yet in the protection phase, watching the way the dogs are posted, how the handler is postured, etc...so much to learn!

|Castlemaid||You find a club now. Join now. Bring your pup out as soon as he has had his shots. They can direct you in basics, teaching focus, doing scent pads, how to play tug.|

When to join a club or get a trainer?
If you get your pup at around 8 weeks of age, when do you want to join a club or start taking them to a club.
At what age do you get a trainer?
