pyratemom Congratulations on making the journey successfully. I'm sure all the fur kids are glad to be out of the car by now, as well as you are I'm sure.

marbury Safe and sound in Washington! We got in a few days ago, hadn't had a chance to update. Everybody did awesome on the drive, no accidents, no issues... What awesome travelers!

Thanks for following along on our crazy trip.

marbury Will try! Stopping at a store to get some this AM, although he's been really good. Definitely the most stressful part of the trip has been making sure everybody is pottying at our stops.

I'll upload more photos later. I'm getting errors when I try at the moment.

I'm not sure... With the stallions we would use just enough inside the nostrils to make sure the odor would mask other scents, no gobs of the stuff, just a thin coating. I don't think I would want enough on a dog's nose where he could lick it off. Perhaps a bit on a Q-tip rubbed inside the edges of each nostril? This is why I stated that I wasn't sure it would work for dogs. I know you're not supposed to ingest Vicks, but I know people who did, whenever they had a bad cold. My guess is a thin coating just inside a dog's nostrils shouldn't hurt him, and it certainly doesn't cause any permanent damage. I was tempted to try it recently when my Jade came in heat, and Orick, who was neutered just months ago, was way too attentive toward her, but it was not that big an issue.

It made for a much calmer ride!

This is a great idea. I don't know why I have never thought of it.

marbury Day two was excellent! Everyone settled down, they've got all their phobia of pooping in new places out of the way, and we're meeting tons of new people and places!

We touched down in Texas yesterday evening and had some Tex- Mex to celebrate. Everyone is eating ok, although the male is still picky since he gets distracted. He's stopped whining and carrying on so.

Schedule is tight, we're doing 8-10 hour driving days. The scenery is a bit blah in this area but far better than we've come across. Roads have gotten nicer.

Five dogs in my car has not been nearly as tight as I had anticipated! More updates as we go
