Nyx that is not a hot spot. That is an open wound.

It could be from a splinter or a small puncture that got infected.

please seek a vet's assistance.

Courtney Ouch! That does not look like a hot spot to me but more an open wound.

I would take her to the vet on this one.

Could this be a hot spot

Hi all This is my other dog honey she has this red raw wound on her head just wondering if it could be a hot spot she has had one before near the base of her tail but I can't for the life of me r ember what it looked like if it's not a hot spot dose anyone have any idea what it could be it started out tiny I also think she's been scratching it and is now wearing the cone of shame
