Waldi If she is active and eating as usual, there is nothing to worry about. She is very cute and great looking, dogs like kids have different growth paths, some do faster some do slower. Enjoy your puppy.

Tim&Marth Every dog hits their spurts at different times. The best thing you can do at this point is focus on providing high quality food, plenty of love and affection, and enjoy the moments while they last. Before you know it, she will be packing on 2-5 pounds a week.

Remember, having a heavy GSD at a young age actually increases the possibility of hip and elbow issues. Less pressure on the plates is a good thing.

RubyTuesday Be sure that your pup is healthy, appropriately active, eating well & growing. Beyond that it's genetics. Remember that good dogs, including good GSD come in a range of sizes. Small vs medium vs large is merely different, not intrinsically better or worse.

Yep, she will get there when she gets there. As long as she is healthy.

ZoeD1217 My girl turned 11 weeks Tuesday! She is bigger than Ari but I'm actually concerned that she is growing too fast. We have an appt on Friday so I plan to ask our vet.

Is my girl small?

Hello! My little girl Ari just turned 11 weeks old on Monday, and she weighed in at 13.2lbs... is that on the smaller size? Just some pictures of my sweet girl for reference!
