Maverick27 Thanks Chip, we've covered the dog park idea on this thread and I'm in agreement with the majority, which includes Mavericks breeder Linda, NO DOG PARKS! Of course I'm always open to new information and thank you for yours. I've got the little guy here at the office. We went for a short walk when I got here this morning and again about an hour ago (same walk). The little dude is sacked out....!

The dog park where I am has two different sides to it one for smaller dogs and another for big dogs. I would put a puppy in with the big dogs. I'm really not married to the dog park idea, but my daughters love going there and my Lhasa does just fine when he goes, of course he's 14 and very chill at this point, as well as going deaf so he prolly doesn't hear all the barking...
Dog Parks, my cue post # 8.

You may be able to judge how big he might be if you saw the size of both parents. Doesn't always ring true, but that would give you a "guesstimate"!
Where did you end up getting him from?
Moms
Got him from Linda at German Shepherd Dogs and German Shepherd Puppies California Kennels, very nice lady. She has an 80 acre ranch, it's a beautiful facility, clean, open air and several buildings where there are many different kennels. I'm going back this Saturday to get his final shots and micro chip. Next time you're looking call Linda and go visit her facility. One meeting with her while the liter was still 4 weeks was all I needed. I'm so grateful to all those on the forum that steered me away from the breeder in Ohio. My guys already on the leash and doing great, crate training is going well also. Working on breakfast and dinner manners as well as I've got my daughters already redirecting with the bully stick.

We picked him up on Saturday. He'll actually be 2 months on April 1st, no foolin... He's lovin the bully sticks and squeaker toys, as well as his crate. My daughters are in love for the second time. Our other pack members however, are a bit more skeptical. Sam (14 years old) just puts Maverick in check and Abby (9 yrs), our cat, had a forced face to face last night but vanished until this morning. I'll get some more pics up eventually. He's about 20lbs and nose to butt he's about 19"s and he's about 12"s at the shoulder. His right ear is already working on standing up. How big is this guy gonna be?

Maverick27 That's funny! My wife tells me her father once said something like that about Paul McCartney... BTW thanks for the good info and bringing a sense of reason.

LARHAGE Gavin has a very plushy coat, and he's very masculine looking as well. If I was a dog I would be so into him LOL

I'll be the first to say I'm knew to a lot of this, but I've never seen a dog that looked like that before... Maybe it's just the angle.
