|trudy||a vet friend recommended ginger capsuls 1/2 hour before we go, once the dog travels fine with that they seem to sleep and not be sick after that, it worked|

|Jax08||My breeder suggested covering the crate so he couldn't see out the windows. Like Carmen said, it's often a visual thing. Unfortunately, it didn't work. Putting him in the front, no eating before helped some. The Cerenia really helped him. however, you can only use it 2 days in a row so it's really only for long trips.|

|shepherdmom||I'm glad you posted this. I was just going to ask the same question. My 16 week old gets car sick every-time I put him in the car.|

sometimes it is a visual thing --- the dog that looks out the side window --
put him in a crate and have the crate either facing front or rear , but not the side
this worked for one dog I knew

Same issue here.
Cerenia. Works wonderfully. Ask your vet for some for long all day trips.
For short trips, don't feed him. I had to put Seger in the front seat. The motion in the back it so much for him.
Luckily, my breeder said any others that had motion sickness outgrew it.
