CleoPatrick Welcome from another Jacksonville resident!
For my dogs training I go to a GSD specialist in St. Augustine that I am very pleased with! Hope this helps! ^^

I will definitely update on here. I'm pretty excited too, we start Monday. I know he'll do awesome.

And I remember the scars well. Still have the holes in my pajama pant legs to prove it! It won't last though.

I also train with Michael OSA of bold city schutzhund. There is another schutzhund club here as well, this one is great for beginners like me. Everyone was very welcoming.

Also k9 obedience club is very affordable and have a variety of great classes
I'm really excited to get started! She knows very basic stuff. I'm looking forward to getting her out and about. I don't really know what to do with her before she has all her shots. I don't have any friends with dogs.

As far as only classes, yes. The park itself requires spay/neutering after your pup is over 8 months old. I have no plans on neutering my boy, so the park is out.

We used to go to the dog park at Ed Austin Park on Monument. He had a great time, but they also "suggest" your dog be neutered. I'm Ok with that because we came away with all positive experiences and from reading this board, it was only a matter of time before an incident occurred in a public unregulated Park.

I called K9 Obedience Club to get on the list for the scent class, but never got a returned call.

I'd be curious to know what you find and how you liked it.
