What a cute and smart pup! Can't wait to see more pics. Like others have said, follow your pup's pace. I don't know for sure, but it sounds like only working in "come" would hinder his mental growth. Just my thinking...
We feed Maddie Diamond Naturals Extreme Athlete. At 17 moths she is non-stop. When we rescued her she was a skinny 40 pounds. Nothing we fed would put weight on her (even though some suggested 5 CUPS daily!!), an most upset her stomach. We hear about Diamond Naturals from a friend and gave it a shot. She is finally up to a healthy 60 pounds and my vet raves about her body, skin and fur. It must be good, too, since it takes every ounce of restraint for her to sit until we tell her "ok". We never really looked at doing raw, so if you are looking at keeping kibble then it is one to consider.
Anyway, welcome to the forums from NE Ohio and we hope to see more pics of that sweet face!

I feed Fromm now, going from Blue Buffalo Wilderness and Nature's Recipe. All I can say, as far as kibble goes, Titan ate his other food just fine, but this is the first time I have see him ask me to be fed, and run to his food when I say "ok." I am happy with it. However, BB is a great food, I was just going through trial and error with my boy's picky nature.
As for traning, as long as your puppy is grasping things and catching on.. train as much as you'd like! It only becomes an issue when you are teaching things all at once without letting him get the idea of the first command. Ex.. initially we did training sessions throughout the day. One wouldbe all "sit" one would be all "stay" etc..
Such a cute lil guy though.. can't wait to see how he grows up!

Thank you so much! We take him to this puppy class at KP Koncepts in Glen Burnie, MD. It is a course that prepares them for obedience. Although it seems like a nice place the guy is a little head strong so I think we are going to do independent training. I think because he is our first I have been second guessing everything for my little guy lol He was originally on diamond and loved it but Petsmart doesn't carry it :/ As far as raw food, is there any specific brand I should try? Also, I heard it was better to have him lean until he is a bit older? Thank you sooo much for your input and sorry for having a million questions haha
Your puppy is very cute and no doubt very intelligent. Enjoy him and take pics as he will grow so quickly! [/QUOTE]

|HarleyTheGSD||I feed mine Diamond. It's fairly cheap, but it doesn't have all those bad fillers.|

Is your class a petsmart type class or are you already at a private club? Are there other working breeds in the class? What are you aiming to do with your puppy?
I personally prefer raw but blue buffalo is a good brand if you stick with kibble. You sound like you really are a responsible owner and perhaps should reconsider raw. Once you start raw, it isn't difficult to do at all.
