erfunhouse I won't feed a tail because I'm worried is too small, but leg quarters and drumsticks are good to go. They chew them right up!

brembo Cooked bones are the nasty ones. It's always a good idea to introduce raw foods with bones slowly, excited dogs can go a bit overboard and get a bone stuck. Small bones can cause issue as well. Swallowed whole they can obstruct and the like.

I had Banjo on raw birds for a long time. I'd just hack up whole birds in sections small enough to toss into his bowl and let him have at it.

boomer11 bones are fine for dogs to eat as long as its raw bones. cooked bones are the ones that break and splinter and kill dogs. raw bones are actually very nutritious. you should go read the faq's in the barf section.

cethlen1621 They are most likely talking about deboned chicken & turkey, so just the meat. If any bones, they would give a bigger kind of raw bone from what I'm understanding.

Confused ??

I keep reading on here of people feeding their dogs raw chicken and turkey. I always thought that dogs should never be given any kind of bird bones because they can splinter easily. Is it OK for them or not?
