That is one reason we got our two shepherds....needed dogs to run, travel and enjoy life with....our jack Russell recently died...:-( He was almost 14 years old....we loved him but love having dogs that want to be a part of everything! They go everywhere with us....they tag along to the mailbox....Percy would just glare at me if I woke him to ask him along...

I understand 100% we're allot alike in that aspect, I love Sam to death but he is much happier hanging out around the house, I wanted a dog to climb mountains with me

Sam wants to sleep on pillows lol, he will heel and he enjoys a bit of nose work, but at the end of the day i had to ask myself how it was right for me to put him through all of this this when he was a bit terrified the entire time. this is actually why I got Anna. I'm sure though that she will do great she appears to have no issues with the water at all.

So I wanted them strong before they had to face the waves that beat you up. They figured out timing the first five mins at the beach, and jumped the waves....we have to pay attention to Millie....she tends bark at the dolphins....by the third time we went she did pay much attention...every time she barked the first two times we would walk her away from the water....it was a long process, walking her away and back to the water...the dolphins play right past the break, I think she barks because she is excited but we correct her because we don't want that behavior during the busy season...
They love jumping off boats...we are wanting to try the dock dogs. Going to have to look up some info and locations. We are in South Carolina....I think they would love it...I just worry Millie will never come out of the pool....:-/

Not sure if that is how others would guide you to teach swimming, or if they would tell you the same about the life vest....these guys know way more than me...I just know what we have done personally.

I can't wait to see all the pics...she is a pretty puppy!
