Gwenhwyfair LOL!!!

Come to think of it, our dryer broke a couple of weeks ago and I was checking on prices in case we needed to replace it.

Fortunately our local appliance repair guy (who is really good) fixed it for much less then what a new one costs.

Gwenhwyfair Oh and one more thing. Since it was not an ad driven by this site, Maytag is not what they used to be either. They were bought out and the quality has gone way down hill. hmmmph.

Gwenhwyfair Yup, I had adblock on. Thanks guys!

Google though. grrrrrrrrrr.....

(tech vent on) I absolutely have come to despise google. They are going from good, to bad, to worse, to absolutely horrible. They are a pain to use for advertising for small mom/pop businesses, they are 'scroogling' everything AND now I can't get youtubes to play and there are pages and pages of people having the same problems in google product support, which I can only access on the IPAD! They make you have a google plus account, they're pushing HTML 5 and I don't know enough to know how that will work with Adobe Flash Player and gaaahhhhh.....I could go on.

Anyhoo..."Do you Yahoo? Why yes, now I do. I hate google." (tech rant off)

*deep cleansing breath*

JeanKBBMMMAAN There's no way to move it either.

Do you use AdBlock plus? adblockplus.org I don't see these things because of that.

Castlemaid These are random google ads - different ones show up in different forums for different people. They don't imply any board sanctions in any way.

Sponsored posts? In Urgent Rescue too?

Before I logged in I popped over to the Urgent Rescue subforum.

Maytag had an ad there 'Handsome Helpful Hero for your Home" as a sponsored 'post'. I get that this site is commercial and seeks to drive revenue but 'sponsored posts', especially in the Urgent Rescue sub forum? Seems to be going overboard IMO.
It may turn off people who have googled their way here looking to adopt a dog in a shelter as the 'sponsored post' appeared near the top.

Here’s a Handsome Helpful Hero for Your Household

Sometimes too much advertising diminishes ROI.
