NancyJ And this one. I drove some little boxes houses on the coastal highway south of San Francisco--and broke out into that song. My friend told me those houses were the real inspiration.

But he made it popular but the song was written by Malvina Reynolds--but he also made Bob Dylan's "Its a hard rain gonna fall" know it would have been fun to be a fly on the wall at their get togethers

NancyJ Yes, made famous by the Byrds. GREAT song. It was the first song that came to mind when I heard of his death.
