YAY! congrats! Glad you understand that you need a smaller area for your pup.. I have known people to buy those cheap plastic storage boxes that fit in the huge crate and stack them so they have no room.. other than that.. I'd buy a small crate. Check craigs list or any other local sale.. may be surprised what you find..
oh and share pics when you get your baby!!

Welcome to you!
You will need a smaller crate to bring baby home in so might was well get one. You can always sell it or donate it to the shelter or a rescue when he outgrows it. Or save it for the next GSD puppy.

Make sure you read --> http://www.germanshepherds.com/forum...uppy-cage.html so you understand why crates work so well. And the small ones are what our PUPS like for a safe haven/lair. It's we humans who are confused and thinking 'oh it's a horrible small cruel cage'.
I'd just go out and buy a small crate too that you use for the first few months. So much easier to move around too. Put in the car for socialization and puppy trips so they are safe. And moving a smaller crate around the house and keeping it beside the bed at night is also easier.
Good luck with your new puppy!

First Time GSD Mama Here
Hello everyone. My name is Kaylee and I live in Ohio. I'm going to be a mom on Saturday February 1st when I go to pick out my GSD in New Jersey! I cannot wait to blow raspberries on that cute puppy belly!
I'm going to be crate training him and I bought a HUGE crate for him. Any advice on how to divide the crate and then adjust the size as he gets older? (Other than buying a crate divider) I don't want him to be able to just go into the other corner of the crate and do his business there.
