middleofnowhere Well, I have one of the hard plastic balls to put kibble in. I pulled it out to slow down miss furry vacuum. It worked great until I didn't screw the plug in tight enough - I got a second chance and blew it a few days later - the plug got chewed up. Then I used sterile cotton - which she pulled out and ate. So I broke out the Buster Cube which is a lot harder to get the treats/kibble out of. But it is also tought to get the plug out so I didn't really fasten the plug hard........... that plug is trashed and Buster Cube no longer works. I just put the feed in the ball. It comes out faster without the plug but it still slows her down. So if you're half on top of it, the ball seems to work really good.

jjk454ss I have an Atomic Treat Ball, a Kong Wobbler, and a JW Rockin Treat Ball. They are great to feed him especially if I'm gone for a while. Or just for treats, he really likes the JW one.

Discoetheque I bought Discoe one of the Busy Buddy Tug a Jugs. It's basically a plastic "bottle" with a knotted rope in the top, and the dog is supposed to roll the jug and manipulate the rope to get food or treats to come out of the top.
I made the mistake of filling it in front of her, and so she saw me unscrew the bottom to put the treats in. Within 10 minutes, she figured out how to unscrew the bottom and made the thing pretty much useless. I would verbally correct for unscrewing the bottom, so then she learned to turn it up on its top, tuck it between her paws and rattle it back and forth to shake everything out.

She was officially the winner that

JackandMattie I have one of the Nina Ottosson wooden ones, where they have to slide a peg through a channel until it reaches the outside edge of the puzzle and pushes out the treat.

Mine play together with it just fine. I think that really would depend on the dogs. You can see pics in my thread. See the Weimaraner pushing the peg through the channel with her nose

brightspot I use a Hol-ee Roller ball. I put bits of kibble in rags. I roll up the rags and stuff them in the ball. My pup has to tease out the rags with his teeth and claws to get the kibble. It takes him about 10 minutes to eat his whole meal.

*NOTE: Pick up the rags right away so your dog doesn't eat them. They smell like dinner!

KathrynApril I had gotten Dinozzo the purple/green one that has little flaps the dog can push up with their nose, but for every other compartment. The dog is suppose to push it around with his nose to get to the other compartments.
He use to do that as a baby, but now at four months he picks it up, shakes it and then drops it upside down....problem apparently solved. Lololol

Corvus Laeus I got my 3 month old this treat dispenser. I crunch up a dry biscuit and stuff it in the middle in pieces just BARELY big enough to come out at the right angle. He loves shoving it around and getting rewarded sporatically. Keeps him busy for a little while, and I have dental chews on either end he is sometimes interested in.

I'm also signed up to support a new puzzle feeder that I think he will LOVE. Called the Foobler Check it out. I feed Tiberius RAW, so will probably be putting little bits of semi-frozen liver or sardine chunks instead of kibble. I think he will enjoy it.

blackshep I tried but my dog got so incensed with it, she was throwing it all around the room and the ends (they are removable to make the game harder or easier) kept popping off. It is not a GSD proof toy! LOL!

Bequavious Ok thanks! Yeah we have a kong wobbler that they love, but now that the little one is all grown up they can't play with it together Of course they're pretty good about leaving each other's stuff alone, so maybe I could just get a second one that they could play with at the same time?
