, even though I know from experience that I'm not really replacing him.

I'm calling breeder references today but am prepared to be bringing home a pup tomorrow.

Audrey How exciting!I hope you do come home with a new baby!
I am sorry for your pain about Rebel. I went to pick up a few bales of hay from a friend of mine and her dog had died the day before. I was in a full sob when she told me because I will never get over losing my Duke 3 years ago. Jasper has not replaced Duke but he is my joy right now...I love his little puppy head! I know you will love yours too.

FJH Good luck with your new baby. We lost our GSD 13 months ago and just picked up our new little one yesterday, so I know exactly how you feel. Each dog is definitely different and our puppy is keeping us on our toes!

True that! Although I swore when I lost the first of the three that I wouldn't get another til I was down to one. Three is a lot with teenagers and camping and stuff...

But I just gotta have me another GSD!

mspiker03 So sorry to hear about Rebel. We lost Levi in March (one day before his 8.5 bday) to stomach/pancreatic cancer (the mass was wrapped around both so they didn't know where it started). It certainly sucks, but our new little one has kept us quite busy! Good luck at the breeders!

Daisy&Lucky's Mom GSDs expand your heart so each time you get a new one your heart is just a bit bigger to make room for one more. Someone here posted how our dogs become part of our heart when they can't physically be w/ us anymore that way they never really leave us. Looking forward to your news about your trip .
