Sp00ks She is a cutie. We lost our last Shepherd in May and have a deposit on a pup and bring the young one home New Years day. I know what you're going through. I've also owned a lab/shepherd mix and to this day was one of the best/smartest dogs I've ever known.

I highly suggest reading the stickies in the Puppy Forum. The Puppy Place - German Shepherd Dog Forums

Good luck with Maxie. Let the training begin. Read up on early socialization. Keep us posted on her progress.

Maxie healed my heart

My name is Debi and I just recently adopted my first GSD. I lost my 13 year old black lab and GSD Mix , Ashes, in May of this year to a brain bleed. She was my best friend and my hubby and I miss her dearly. I have had big dogs most of my adult life and was missing her and having one so for an early birthday gift my hubby got me Maxie! She is smart and funny and she helping my heart heal. We have two small cairn terrier mixes and they all love to play and get along.
