|Baillif||You should check out Ivan Balabanov's stuff relating to tug as well. There are a lot of similarities but there are key differences you would find enlightening.|

I have all the michael ellis videos. I watched all of them. If you want, I'll sell them to you for a reasonable price. Private message me if this is something you're interested in.

WOW. All this because I was quite surprised that anyone would assume I do not have morals or ethics or need a lecture on them just because I talked about the technicalities of securing copyrights this way. And why that one clause did not make sense to me. That was the whole point of my discussion.
A snarky little sigh? did you hear me sigh? And did I sound like I lowered myself to answer you? I sighed because I was frustrated that my small talk led to so much criticism about me and my morals. For me it was an impersonal continuation of what if and so on and so forth.
Anyway assume what you like. I didnt like the extra work of downloading, converting and putting on a disc. Is that even allowed? Wouldnt it somehow infringe the copyrights of streaming, since you are supposed ot be 'renting'.

Ok, people. Play nice or I'll have to send out warnings to you. All of you.

From this post, it seems you are trying to circumvent measures placed to avoid sharing the video. You did ask what was to prevent a friend logging in with your id and watching. How is someone supposed to know that you understand the law?
Having a condescending attitude when asking for help is counterproductive and rude. Things like snarky little sighs to indicate that you are lowering yourself to explain something that is obvious will not encourage cooperation.
It's rather easy to rent this video from Leerburg, record it, convert it and move it to the appropriate media to watch on your tv, but I doubt anyone is willing to help you. I know that I'm not.
Or just spend the money. $675 gets you all the Michael Ellis DVDs. Best money you will spend on your dogs IMHO.

I thought I thanked you already. Thank you.

I did not want to insult Sri, the OP, by suggesting a Google search where, for $69, a copy of the DVD can be purchased.
So it was the "discussion" that was inane. Except that I was the "discussee."
The smiley faces do not lessen the sting of the insult.
And, yes, you should have said thank you. Would have been nice.

You actually mentioned "borrowing" which for most would be somewhat difficult to mail a physical copy back and forth, not to mention to a complete stranger on "loan".
This would be why so many have suggested streaming as it is convenient with no need to "loan".
