Linck Lots of people here bathe their dog once or twice a year so I guess there is problem if you bathe them too often. I bathe mine on the as-need basis which turns out to be every other month on average. He likes to get in mud. He has no problem so far. I think it depends on the shampoo you use too. When Lincoln was a puppy I mistake that "puppy breathe" to him being stinky lol now I wish he smells like that instead of smelling like a dog.

jwn6w Heidi is almost 10 months old and has not had a bath. She does not have any dog odor and I have heard that it is not good to bath them a lot unless there is a problem.

erfunhouse Sabos been to the groomer four or five tines- mostly cause the ocean leaves him smelling like fish. Yuck. We just had him spayed and started him on RAW, so one final trip to the groomer when he has the all clear, then we will see if RAW does indeed Lee him from smelling!

TAR HEEL MOM I was just thinking last night that the last time I bathed Tar was probably 8 months ago when he rolled in a huge slimy mud hole.. And I am amazed that his coat has no, absolutely no, smell about it at all. My lab will get to smelling "Like a Dog" but Tar just doesn't smell as long as I keep him brushed occasionally.

Mikey von Kimber is 6 months old and she has had one bath (we got her at 8 weeks). She got into some stinky mud one day and it needed to be taken care of.
