ElizabethM My german shepherd used to develop sores under his chin and side's of his mouth, they wouldn't go away even with cream from the veterinarian; although some cream' and treatment's are better than other's.. Hope your vet will have a great solution to help you!

deldridge72 Do you use plastic bowls to feed or water? Looks just like what I've treated my adult male a couple of times for-vet had me change to stainless steel dishes.

WVGSD The area to the side of your dog's nose looks like he has a sinus infection and it is draining and crusting. I often foster dogs from lcoal shelters and, when they have sinus infections or an upper respiratory infection, I usually see this green/yellow crusting on the edge of the nostrils. He might need to see the vet sooner than later if he is having any symptoms of an upper respiratory tract of sinus infection.

Nigel Penaten cream works well if it is pyoderma.

Msmaria Try not to worry. You have ur appt already and your on top of it. Yes, keep us updated. You can do some searches on here and look at pictures. If it is dermaditis it may take awhile to go away and may even get bigger for a while. Adding yogurt and blueberries helped us alot.

Maybe others have ideas of what else it could be.

Hw old is your dog? I think that might help others. Do you think he could have gotten bit by any insects?
Clay is about 16 months old I dont think it was an insect the last time he got bit by a bug he had a really bad alergic reaction and his whole face swelled up thank for your reply I hope it is just dermatitis and nothing to serious.
