|Nigel||Probably time for a vet check. I've had em sprain toes and other foot/leg injuries, but not switch back and forth between legs like you describe. I don't know if Pano symptoms are like this, my 3 never had it.|

He may have growing pains, also known as panosteitis (pano.)
Panosteitis in Young Dogs
I would check with a vet anyway, because when Hans was little I thought he had it, and instead it was a shoulder strain.

My boy has a limp help
My GSP is just a year old. I noticed that he had a mild limp and would not put pressure on his front left paw. Then he started to not put pressure on his left leg. He does not show any signs of pain at all. I can move his legs and press on is paws just fine. He will then start walking just fine, but go back into lifting his paw up of floor when he just standing while eating. He goes between front and back leg on same side.
I just had his claws trimmed thinking that they had become to long, but that did not solve problem. It just started 3 days ago. Any tips out there before I start to panick? My first GSP and I am a nervous mother.
