There is nothing better than a well trained, well behaved dog.
And nothing catches the public's notice in quite the same way either.
It does make you feel proud.

|llombardo||He is a happy dog. It's so nice to have a place like this to share this stuff. At least here people understand the breed and how much work can go into them.|

We went to a pumpkin farm...
And Midnite did amazing. It was my son, Midnite, Brennan(golden puppy), and I. I thought for sure the puppy would get all the attention, but I was wrong. People loved Midnite and everyone, including kids, asked if they could pet him. Not one person ran up or approached without asking. He sat nicely and welcomed the attention. He especially liked two of the people, both owned GSD's and its almost like he sensed something different about them. When we were walking he didn't bother with anyone. My son was in awe of his behavior. My son has said more then once that Midnite was not a good fit for our household, I begged to differ. I told him that once Midnite got some training he would be a different dog. My son told me today that I have done a great job with the training. I told him I have been busting my butt, but the results are outstanding. Midnite does and always has belonged in my eyes. Midnite got to see ponies, a camel, goats, a llama, and did well with all. At first the goats took off when they seen the dogs, but they seemed to be intrigued by the puppy, so they came nose to nose with him and Midnite just watched. There was a little boy that whimpered when he seen Brennan and just started screaming when he seen Midnite, he was terrified of dogs. One lady had a poodle that was off leash. It was kinda funny to see her running after that dog to try to catch it before it got to us. Midnite couldn't care less. My son walked Midnite and you could see the pride in his eyes. That dog heeled perfectly, sat at my son's side when my son stopped and just looked like he has had years of training. I'm so happy that I'm able to bring him to places like this, this was my goal with him. Now that we have gotten there, we will move on to strengthen his obedience. I didn't have my camera with me, just my cell phone, so I got a picture...not the best picture, but at least its a picture.
