|martemchik||I think GSDs are usually good with the medium sized harnesses. Usually it will give you a range that the chest can be...measure your dog and get the closest one. It's likely that the harness will still fit when the chest grows a little bit.|

Nylon Working Dog Harnesses
Take a look at these. Not leather, but they seem very durable. Especially the Ruff Wear. Ruff Wear has a website where you can look at all of their harnesses. Hope you find a good one

Need advice on a good harness.
Our trainer prefers that I use a leather harness. I am really a little wary about this, since how do I find a good fit that will last his lifetime(he is now 7 months old). Right now we use easy walk and he walks fairly well on this, no pulling at all even towards critters, unless we are very close to other dogs. I saw the agitation harness on leerburg which is similar to the one our trainer sells.
Would a nylon one be better in case of rains/wet weather as we live in the northeast?
Anyone have any suggestions as to brands and how to ensure a good fit? This is just for basic obedience training. I am thinking of doing nosework or agility in the future. But for now the harness would be used only for walks, outdoors, and in training class.
