It happened to my girl twice, with no apparent reason both times she woke up, started to limp and scream (it seemed like shoulder pain) , after few minutes she was ok. Vet didn't find anything wrong with her
She was 18 and 24 months old. She is 39 months old now and it never happened again.

15month old female Yelping in pain then stopping suddenly?
Hi, My 15 month old girl 'Marley' has been fine all day and we exercise her regularly (except today) as the heat here for Spring in Australia was brutal so Marley was inside with us in the Air Conditioning. I went to the shops and came home and she was fine I had not long put her outside to the toilet and for her dinner and while I was serving up dinner for my family she started yelping and crying hysterically, so i dropped what I was doing to tend to her, it seemed to be her left shoulder and she was clenching her jaws if I touched the area. I softly massaged the area and massaged down her spine and back legs cause it always relaxes her, after 10 mins she seemed fine. She limped for another 10 mins but is completely normal now and back to herself. I will be watching her tonight and taking her to the Vet in the morning to find out what it was or if Its an underlying problem. Can anyone tell me what it might be? Twisted Shoulder maybe? has this happened to anyone else? Our vet says her health is Optimal and Ive searched her head to toe to check she hasn't been bitten by a spider, but it doesn't seem to be the case.
Worried about my girl, she is my shadow and my baby
