|Makobytes||A number following a show title would be the placement of the dog. VA2 would be awarded to the second place dog in a Siegershow, V1 would be the first V dog placed behind the VA dogs in ranking in a Siegershow or the first place dog in a regional show. Since VA is only awarded in a Siegershow, a dog who is of VA quality could only earn a V at a regional show. Germany is no longer ranking VA's. The pedigree database is updated by individual users, the information may be incomplete or wrong.|

who updates the pedigree site and how often? I wonder because when I got my puppy he was three months old. The mother was not on site. She was in Germany competing. The Father was on site. The breeders website has the mother as "Catarina vom Wustenberger-Land (IPO 1 kkl hd ed normal)"
What do the number indicate such as "v1" "va2"?
Thank you for your response. It makes a lot more sense now.

|Makobytes||KKL is the breed survey, I have not seen it listed as passed before, under the SV system of breeding a dog it has to have a breed survey in order for it to be bred. This is the system the founders of the breed put in place and it is with us today. To get a breed survey the dog has to have a show title of G-good, SG-very good, this is the best rating a dog under two years of age or without a working title can earn, V-excellent, requires a working title to earn. VA-excellent select, this title can only be earned in a Siegershow. These titles precede a dog's name. VP is not a title recognized for a breed survey it does not exist in Germany, it means the dog was very promising as a puppy. A working title is also needed to acquire a breed survey, a dog has to earn a BH- traffic dog, AD- 12 mile endurance test, and an IPO title, or has to have an HGH-herding title.Having a BH or AD is not sufficient on their own for a breed survey. The dog has to have passing hip and elbow certification and have it's DNA tested. After having all these the dog is brought before a Koermeister who scrutinizes and records every facet of the dog's conformation down to each individual tooth, the dog's working ability is tested. Only after the dog has passed all this can it get the designation of KKL and be bred.|

|Lucy Dog||All west german show lines. To breed and register dogs in Germany, dogs need passing hip scores and titles. That's why your seeing a while pedigree with dogs that have them.|

Pedigree, not sure how to read it
I see a lot of IPO/shutzhund, but other than that and HD/elbow info I'm not sure what it all means.
V1 Kalidas vom Wustenberger- Land
