|SiegersMom||Train, train, train. Put the leash on her during the day while you are doing chores and work on sit, stay, heal. While you are washing dishes have her sit or down with you for just a few minutes at a time. Reward her when she sits without jumping on you. Just work in short sessions and try to go out with her to burn off some energy. It sounds like she does not see you as the enforcer of rules so she is more hyper and playfull while she sees your husband as the leader. It was the opposite with my husband and our dog. I did all the training and he was just the fun play guy. Training now while she is still young will pay off big in the future. She will still be very active but you want more control. Good luck!!!!|

|K9Kona||I agree with the posters that have already replied. Excercise, and LOTS of it! We have a seven month old as well so I know and understand your frustrations. Kona gets walked or jogged two to five miles at least 5+ days a week. Basically the only days she doesn't is when it's raining at this point. In addition to that, I am also training her 5-6 days a week which helps a lot. We still have some obedience issues, but things are much better when she's physically or mentally fatigued. I can definitely tell when she isn't!|

How much exercise does she get? What about training?
A tired dog is a good dog. These guys need a LOT of exercise, especially at this age. And, more importantly, they need a lot of obedience work- mental exercise tuckers them out even faster than physical exercise.

|wyoung2153||Have you guys done puppy classes? What kind of exercise does she get during the day? Also, when you do obedience, is your husband the only one teaching her?|

My 7 month old puppy, Sasha is so hyper at times that I don't know what to do. She is fine when my husband is here, but during the day when he is at work she doesn't listed to me at all. She will constantly jump up on me, biting me, scratching... I am at my wit's end. Any suggestions?
