Some feel grains are good some feel bad, so it's what works for your dog and what she does well on.
And yes, I'd feed her 3 x a day for atleast a month ..

what was she eating when you got her?
I normally feed my 8 wk old puppies 3x a day for a couple months. At that age my gsd's usually got between 3/4 and a cup..Upping it as they age by a 1/4 cup.
My ADULT gsd gets 2 cups twice a day with raw added..My aussies who top out at around 40 + lbs get one cup twice a day..
Don't switch around foods to much or you may see diarhea.
I don't feed my puppies / puppy food I go straight to adult but that's just me. Right now mine are on Diamond Naturals and have always done well on it.

|trcy||I've been told not to feed puppies grain free food. I feed my puppy natural balance, but it's the blue bag good for puppy's and adults.|

How much should I feed her/ What is a good food for her?
Well. I have posted 2 other threads for my new 8 week old Aussie/GSD. This one is dedicated to feeding her. She is a HUGE eater and drinker. She always drinks a whole bowl, then after she finishes she pees. Well, my question is what is a good feeding plan for her. Time, how many times, and how much. Also, our near by pet store recommended a healthy dog food for us, and we brought home multiple sample bags, and we have been feeding her it. She loves it a lot, but I want her to be healthy, so I want to see if you guys are familiar with it, or if you can recommend and even healthier one. It is called **** Van Patten's Natural Balance, Dawn of a New, Grain-Free, Alpha Dog, Balanced Protein. That is everything the bag says, just to be specific. It is blue and green packaging. Thanks I'm advanced.
