You know my puppy sunny turned 5 1/2 months yesterday, too. And about three days ago he started limping so bad that i surely thought he has a fracture. I was freaking out and I took him to the vet to get him x rayed. He was diagnosed with pano and the vet have him pain killers. Now he is doing a lot better . It never hurts to get your pup x rayed.

|Suka||I saw your other thread with this video and this does not look good for your pup. His range of motion looks very limited and I hope the prognosis is good. I am looking forward to finding out what the x-rays show. This isn't the average limp.|

|Marty McFly||So, I took him to the vet ( not his usual vet). And he says it's Hip Dysplasia and wants to take x-rays. He's 6 months old, isn't that kinda early to say that ? Especially without x-rays. Or could it just be that bad ?|

|Marty McFly||He seems to be feeling a little better. Still limping, but not as bad. He was trying to play a little while ago. I think i'm going to wait a couple of days and see how he feels before I take him to the Vet . In the meantime, is there anything I can give him for pain/discomfort/inflammation (aspirin?)|

Sounds like it could be pano: 01 Panosteitis: Growing Pains in Dogs - VeterinaryPartner.com - a VIN company!
Get xrays to confirm for sure. Vet can help if dog has debilitating pains that prevent eating/movement.
Keep the dog on a low protein food and keep the pup lean for sustained/slow growth.
Try Kuranda or Coolaroo beds - they are fairly chewproof and good for dogs with joint/bone pain.

That's what I said, but my wife thinks it's just growing pains.
