Sochi has surgery for PRAA on thursday...
We have pre-op tomorrow and assuming all is well, we're on for Thursday. I'm so stinking nervous. I can't find anyone anywhere that has had this surgery on a dog her age (a year and a half-give or take). My biggest fear is that when they get in there they won't be able to fix it and will not let her wake up from the anesthesia. I don't want her to think I'm not there.
She has gained 6.5 pounds since we got the diagnosis, on a liquid diet. I know she is in the best shape I can get her under the circumstances.
sigh. 2 more days and maybe I can relax for a minute. We've been fighting this battle since February. I'm lucky she is such a fighter.
Paws crossed for Sochi!
