|Travis||I am always quiet and calm to her. I try not to let her pull to much. Ill start with the treats and go from there. And it's been in the mid 80's here. She has been outside and went potty fine when it's bright out. It seems to only happen when it's real windy or she heard loud noises. She has played in the grass several times though. So I will just give it time. Thanks for the input.|

|Castlemaid||How hot is it in your area these days? Or perhaps she is sensitive to bright light and it hurts her eyes?|

Treat her just for stepping foot outside. Don't let her pull you back in- that teachers her that working to get her way is how to do things. Treat her for every 10-15 feet you get her outside. Play with her like crazy outside- show her its a good place to be! Sometimes we humans yammer at them too much- just be quiet and calm when she freaks out.

Any thoughts to why my new GSD puppy is afraid outside?
Hello all, my name is Travis and my girlfriend Sara and I just got a 7 week old GSD puppy. She is real playful, and has lots of energy. We got her a few days ago and she has been doing real good with using the potty outside at night when I wake her up to go. But during the day when it's time to take her potty, she acts like she is scared and just runs back to the front door. She is on a leash but she will start whining and running/pulling to the front door. But some of the times she walks around and goes potty without ease. Can anyone help me as to why she wants back in so bad? I try to talk to her and get to her level to calm her. It is windy here and I think that's part of the problem. But she will whine and pull and when we get inside she will relive herself! I'm staying patient as I know she is still very young pup. Any advice would be great. Thanks!! Travis
