|Neko||We are doing Beginner Novice training, and that's CGC. My pup will be 8 month next week. The instructors told us that unless you are past Novice, you always use food and train with food. It is normal for a pup not to listen at the rebellious stages which is at this age when they are figuring things out and protesting. I would keep training and call once treat, call next time and praise! alternate, but it's normal.|

DOG CLASSES! It's why we all start up around 5 and 6 months with the added advantage of socialization and instant feedback from an instructor!
Have you started up clicker training. Aren't supposed to use a leash at all so that 'crutch' is removed to get our head into the training game. Once you start teaching properly and get the skills you need, your dog won't be ignoring you anymore.

Only come and listen when I have treat on my hand
My 6 month old gsd only sit/listen when I have treats on my hand and I have a five meter long leash she will just keep coming to me just to get treats but I try to ignore . Please help. And she likes to pull a lot and just go crazy alot
