Sorry to hear you've lost both your girls, especially in such a short time frame.
Welcome to you and Tango and good luck on your search for your new pup.

|ndirishfan1975||Welcome....so sorry for your losses. They can be especially difficult when they are sudden and unexpected. Don't rush into a new dog but when you are ready the right GSD will be there to share the next 12+ years with you.|

Hello from Central Texas
I am currently sadly shepherdless, as I lost both my girls recently. The first, Makhili, was an American Show Line. She was a beautiful dog, but a bit nuts and had lots of health problems. Despite that, she was my absloute best friend and I miss her terribly. My other girl, Rio, was an owner surrender. Probably the result of a BYB, she came into the vet clinic where I worked with 4 fractures in her foreleg. Her owner was going to euthanize, so I asked him to surrender ownership and I was able to get the surgery she needed. Makhili passed last October at almost 12 years old. Rio passed away suddenly on Easter this year, we think it might've been due to a blood clot.
I am slowly dipping my toe in to get another shepherd. It will be a few months before I can, but that just gives me time to read and research!
