This is a very good story to read for those who think people are unfit for forgetting their loved ones in any situation.
Autopilot - Page 1 - Wattpad
It's so sad when this happens. I can't imagine what it must feel like after you realize what happened.
btw there are two pages to that story. it's hard to see the arrow.

|holland||I definitely don't think she did it on purpose I think she forgot-and I can't imagine why someone would see a child in distress in a car and just walk by|

Not a parent, but I babysit a lot. The older girls are 6 now, and I feel weird leaving them in the car long enough to walk over to a gas station window to buy a soda.
Maybe it's different when you are with them 24/7. As for the dogs, I usually leave them home when it is dangerously hot. Of course in Ohio, the weather can change in a heart beat, so even when it is COLD out, I open the windows and the back of the SUV. I don't take dogs in the honda, not unless I need to make an ER visit ot the vet and the Honda is at home with me. But in that case, it would be pretty hard to forget the dog.

I used to do that but I was also always so paranoid about forgetting the baby lol. I literally would triple check that I'd put them in the car and they were buckled in. Now I cant get them to be quiet so I know they're in there with me. No human or animal should have to die like that. The people in the video who just checked and kept walking, no way. They're to blame as well as far as I'm concerned. That's not something you can in good conscious walk away from. Better believe I would have been screaming and yelling and just carrying on and looking for a weapon to bust a window, even if it meant somehow picking up a shopping cart and chucking it at the window. ALWAYS find a way. I know it's a staged video but man, they did a REALLY good job.

I can't imagine ever forgetting that my child or dog was in the back.
But a good idea I read about was to put your purse or briefcase in the back, so you would have to retrieve it from back there in order to run your errands or go to work, and you would see the little one and remember he or she is present.

That was sad. Even though it was fake and staged. It didn't even get to me until the end where the guy broke the windshield and everybody else around him trying to save the kid. So sad. I could never imagine doing that to my kid if I had any or that to my dog. Just goes to show you how many unconcerned parents that are out there. Maybe she was not ready or fit to be a parent.

This had me in tears
This video crossed my feed on facebook and I had to share it. Seriously something that can be prevented but keeps right on happening. Children and pets don't deserve this. NOBODY deserves this. Reenactment or not, I'd be amazed if this video doesn't get to you. I know I was crying. I literally had to find the video on youtube because facebook didn't give me the option to share it. THAT'S how much this affected me.
