|Mary Beth||If you have classes in your area, I suggest you sign up - that would be a good way for your dog to learn to be with other dogs in a controlled setting where he has to obey and pay attention to you. Unless you go very early or late when no one is there, I suggest you don't take him to the dog park until he is well behaved. A good way to practice also is to walk him outside the dog park. So he learns again that he has to mind you when other dogs and people are present.|

2 Year-old GS/Lab Mix Charging Issues
Hello! My boyfriend and I recently adopted a 2 year-old German Sheperd/Lab mix. So far, things have been going really well. He was already trained in a variety of areas, but we still have some concerns. Our apartment complex has a nice, convenient dog park for the residents. We utilize it often, but we cannot take him in the park if there are other dogs because he will charge them. He doesn't attack them--he mostly just sniffs them but there are times that he becomes seemingly aggressive. During these moments, he pays no mind to either my boyfriend or I and ignores all commands. Also, while in the park, anybody that walks by the fence, he immediately charges and barks at until he can no longer see them. It's intimidating to the other residents and very irritating for us because he ignores our commands while barking and running along the fence. Any help or ideas would be great!
