No worries, I wasn't trying to be rude just wanted to share my knowledge that's all my apologies if it seemed so.

Mr.s K, MaDuece seems to be doing fabulous! keep up the good work.

Mrs.K So I've been a bit more consequent on their training lately and upped on the crate games and basic house manners. Since I want to build up a business around basic obedience it might help if my dogs can display all those manners that general pet people want to see in their dogs.

She is learning so darn fast and she truly grasped the concept.

I love it too. Makes her look so feminine.

I've gone over to the dark side ... completely.

Nickyb It's not in the breed standard nor would you show these types under the Malinois name. Technically they are all Belgian Shepards and a Malinois is just 1 variety out of 4. (Malinois, Tervuren (long haired fawn/black) Groenendael (sp?)(long hair solid black) and Laekenois (wired hair fawn/black))

Of course this is just a technicality and they are all awesome in my book.

Mrs.K Yep, it does happen. I know of a couple of dogs out of German Malinois Kennels that are long haired too.

Muskeg I have a long haired belgian malinois out of normal coat belgian malinois parents. It happens. The lines Michael Ellis breeds also throw long-coat malinois occasionally- goes back to some extent to the popular stud dog "Elgos". It is not that uncommon and doesn't make a difference in terms of temperament or drives.

MaDeuces very first steps in Obedience

I thought I recently had seen a long haired Mal out of Mike Ellis' dogs..
