Its been along while since I posted re our pack integration progress. here is an update but no pictures since I cant get them to load right now. We have went from actual contact bites to Lucky snapping once amonth and actually play bowing every couple of days and trying to get the girls to play. Yesterday Lucky and Chevy laid butt to butt. We are a pack !Not a 100% happy pack but a loose knit pack that can share the same bedroom ,yard and even the same room. Thank God for the book by the Norwegian lady re dog language. I yawn a lot now. I also am the ultimate in if you lift your lip you deal w/ me and your out by yourself. My hope is that by Christmas Ill post a picture of three dogs posing in front of the tree. As soon as I get the attachments to work Ill post pictures.

|Daisy&Lucky's Mom||kiya I believe your right. Its 5:00am and Im up typing at the kitchen table waiting on my coffee but my three vigilant shepherd are in my bedroom upstairs snoozing but most importantly together. Chevy has me up w/her yeast infected ear at 4:00am so I cant sleep but they are comfortable enough that they are sleeping together or they are all following the adage let old sleeping dogs sleep.Well we continue the pack journey! Now for some caffeine.|

I look at it this way, if they really wanted to hurt each other they would have. I just think it's taking more time to work all the kinks out.
Hang in there, your doing great and before you know it you'll have one big happy family!

|mebully21||you are still doing amazing with them. i have a dog that is DS- Dog Selective- and even with the 2 females he lives with occasionally he acts like a jerk with them as well, and with the visiting female lab that comes here twice a month he acts like a jerk sometimes with her too (if she gets into his face by walking by , or if she sniffs food close to him) so i separate and micro manage and make sure there are no food/toys etc laying around.. it takes alot of work to intergrate new dogs into a home with a dog that has dog issues to begin with, and by you taking the time and patience needed you are doing very good.. it might take another few months or even a year , but eventually it will all settle down into a good routine and lucky will eventually tolerate the girls and spats will be fewer and far inbetween.. keep up the good work, its a hard thing to do and i commend you for taking on 2 rescues knowing your male has some dog issues.. keep up the good work !!|

Thanks Ruth and Loneforce.I was having some issues with accessing the site but hopefully my computer is clear. Here is a brief update but I will post more pics later.
We have had three or four times Lucky has attacked the girls . The times are always when they were in close proximity in the family room. We had one a week ago and Lucky got Chevy's ear and she really neeeded stitches but due to her age our vet didnt want that to happen so I got some antibiotics and its healing also got some NSAIDS to help with pain for another brief time and she gets a suplement. In the past 2 weeks I had the flu and alot of insulin reactions and all three stayed wherever I was.Bedroom, family room ETC. Lucky since his intially being isolated appears to be behaving better when he is around the girls and in fact last night slept on his bed in the family room with the girls snoozing there as well. The girls also do some sneaky stuff ok mostly Thunder. She will block him when he's trying to get through the doorways.I dont let them alone ever together inside so Lucky has either found another way around or I have moved Thunder. Lucky does better w/ one other dog its when there are three we have had issues. They all sleep in our bedroom.Lucky tried to lay next to Chevy last week but Thunder scrambled over to lay downthere before I could get there. Yesterday Chevy and Lucky and Thunder were all laying down in the yard looking at the pond together and last night Chevy and Lucky laid but to but and Thunder just ignored it. Chevy will yawn around Lucky which seems to descalate them. We are still building the pack and currently we are back to the ceasefire.
