UKC Registration

I want to start my golden and possibly my male GSD in dock diving and I don't have a clue about titles. I was reading on the Ukc site that they accept AKC registrations, but how about PAL? Is that still considered a AKC registration? I also thought I read that a pedigree is needed. What if I don't have one? I'll never have one for the GSD and I opted not to get it with the golden, is there a way around that or did I just read wrong? I'm just starting this stuff, so everything is very new and I would like to learn.

Did you look at single registration under "limited privilege"?

United Kennel Club: Limited Privilege

I did that for the GSD with the AKC already, does it transfer over? Since I have actual papers on my golden I would prefer to register him with the paperwork from AKC minus the pedigree, that isn't going to happen is it? :(

If he gets 3 legs toward a title, can those be used towards his title at a later time once he is registered or does he have to be registered first for the legs to count?

I believe the dock diving titles are through UAD. You need 5 jumps in a division to title and they have to be in one season (season starts over in Sept. I think). Then you can start earning points for each jump and earn *UKC* titles as you earn points, and the points do carry over (you don't start fresh every season). You do not need any registration to dock dive with UAD but if you have a UKC number you can use it to get the points added for their titles.

His first splashes will be in mid Sept , so that is good. There is probably one more event that we can do within that year. I'm interested in the title part. I've never titled a dog in anything, so I figured id start with something like this:) so I can either title through UAD or UKC or both? If I don't register him with UKC, will it still be considered a title? How do the points work for the UKC? Does that coincide with the UAD or does that come after the titles with them? I probably should have researched this more then 3 weeks before the event:(

I'm not totally sure. I've just always listed my dogs' UKC numbers when I enter UAD events. They keep all the rules and current titles/standings on their website.

For the dog that is AKC registered, you can register him using the "Application for Single Registration". For the PAL dog, you need to apply for a " Limited Privileges Listing". Like the PAL, a LP listing makes the dog eligible for everything but conformation.
