Default tennis Ball sport?

Hello!
Im wondering if there are other sports I could learn with my GS that involve catching a tennis ball or working with one. My girl seems to be very involved and wanting to work with them. We play a basic throw and retrieve game in our yard for 30 minutes a day! Ide love to get involved with local clubs for some sport. I have read up(seen lots of videos of training and competitions) on Flyball and am not sure if thats where Ide like to start. Also what is catchball? Ive heard its similar but cant find videos or any news on it online! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'd look into flyball that's probably your best bet.
Also, please use something a little bit bigger than a tennis ball. I lost my GSD when his tennis ball went down his wind pipe and he choked to death before my eyes. Another person on this forum lost a GSD in a similar manner, and a 3rd had their ball go down the ball's throat but was able to get it back out before the dog died. There was also a news story about a police Malinois who was killed by a tennis ball going down his throat. The ball is just too small for a large dog.

i don't use tennis balls with my dog because of the
size and the dye and if tennis balls are made in
China that would be another reason for me not to
use them. this isn't a sport but it's one more thing you
could do with your dog involving a ball. you could play
"find it". put your dog in a "stay" and then hide the ball.
then send your dog for the ball. teach your dog to bring
you the ball after he finds it.

Tav, here are the two flyball organizations:

North American Flyball Association | NAFA Home

The Ultimate Dogsport for Family and Fun: United Flyball League International :: The United Flyball League Inc. is an organization formed to promote and better the sport of Flyball.

There are links on each page where you can find clubs near you, or upcoming tournaments if you'd like to go watch.
