I was just wondering how long your dog(s) was/were in training for a certain sport before entering their first trial/tournament.
Ozzy has been training for flyball since late October and he will be in his first tournament on the 21st and 22nd. Given, he won't be running on a 4 dog team, but he will be running singles and pairs. (Running with another dog). He's been doing EXCEPTIONAL and advances so fast! It took him literally one try with passing to get it down. I'm so excited, and super proud of him.

I put Stosh in an agility trial right after we completed our first 8 wk course. He did better than I did! It's a great way to learn and I bet Ozzy will do really well. Like the judge told me- it's best to get that first time over with as soon as you can.

If it wasn't for me, Stark would of tried for his BH this past fall at around 2 years... BUT... I was scared straight and pulled him.
![]() There is a May trial that he will be entered in and then Zefra will be going for her BH in the late summer after she is of age. It is my goal to have her BH by 16 months.

Havoc has been in training for his BH basically since I got him you could say. He got his BH at 16 months.

We started training in agility in March 2007 and competed in our first trial two months later- we even Q'd one run. But we didn't start really competing until January 2008.

We started agility training in late January 2011. Pimg entered her first trial on July 16, 2011. She Q'ed every run (five runs) and earned her first title. Our second trial was Oct 1, 2011. Pimg Q'ed all but one run (eight runs) and earned two more titles.
So we first trialed 6 months after first starting training.
