Default Treibball

Just wondering if anyone has done Treibball with your dogs and how you liked it. I just heard about this at a dog event here in Ottawa so I'm checking to see if I can find classes. Here's a link in case you don't know what it is. Basically the dog herds balls into a net.

A trainer I went to in Guelph started this. I saw some clips on her facebook page and it looked really interesting and fun. If only she was not in Guelph.

I really like this idea. Easy to do with one of those BIG bouncy balls from WalMart to see if the dog has interest/aptitude before investing in training. Mine likes to push around a plastic dish on the ground, bet this would be his speed. Looks fun.

Looks like fun for those who don't have access to real sheep. I just hope in some years it doesn't become a title people breed for.

There is a training group here near Warren, MI that hold Treiball classes; a friend of mine takes her GSD there. Costly, though: $200/6 weeks. Looks like fun for my Echo -- she has HD and I don't let her jump anymore, so AKC competitions are out for us.

Thanks! I found a place that will be starting classes in January so I think I'm going to try it.
