Default Getting ready to start weight pulling

Bella will be 2 in Nov, Now that she's old enuff we can start working on teaching her to WORK. I feel that it will boost her confidence and help take that extra energy out. To start with getting her used to something around her body I have been puting a simple walking harness on her. We won't ever compete jus let her pull it around the yard, we have over 2 acres and it goes up and down hill. 5 times around is a mile. But that will be awhile off before she can do the entire mile. I will get my harness here. Weight pulling harnesses including other dog products. And my brother is going to help me make one of these. Drag Sleds. Is 50 ft to much to start with jus the sled and no weight? I don't plan on adding weights for a week or so and only going up in 5 pound increments. My plans are to hopefully have her be able to pull 50 pounds by the end of Nov. Is that asking to much? Going to fast? I want to set her up for successes! I want this to be a good and positve thing for her and I'm worried I'd screw it up eventully we would like graduate to a Cart and let her pull a couple of the other dogs around and maybe even the hubby lol.

Well I got my harness ordered. It came with a matching collar and leash. It will look like this . Except the leash will have pink in it as well. Ill keep the weight under 20# until I have her OFAd in NOV when I will have her spayed. And after she heals if her hips are good ill increase the weight but will keep it UNDER her own body weight. I really think she will enjoy this . The harness is custom made jus for her! I can't wait till it gets here. But it will be I'm guessing around 3 or 4 weeks. That's makeing it and shipping. Get ready for Pics when we get it
