Default Flyball training at home?

We just started class last weekend, but I'd love to practice with Zeke at home. We're going to need a lot of work on the box. Is there a way to set of a "fake" box with materials I'd have around the house?

We start our puppies off with box turn on a wood ramp. It is something you can build at home with an angle the same relative size as a box. Later you can add some velcro to the ramp and stick tennis balls to it. Errow can get all of this feet up on the ramp but once you add a ball everything changes.

Stacey did they start you off with micro jumps bc Zeke is a baby?

Flyball is a game that a lot of GSDs I know would love, but I always worry a bit about their size causing joint problems if they really get into hitting that box.

I don't know what microjumps are, but they are at most 5 inches tall. We're not running at the box yet, just following a treat (or in Zeke's case, a tug) onto it then turning off. Do you think he is too young? It's just a beginner class.

Microjumps isn't a real term, but I'd say 5 inches qualifies. I was doing 8 inches with Oda in agility class.

No, he's not too young as long as you keep things low for a while. I'm glad to hear he's having fun.
