Default AKC All Breed Lure Coursing

AKC will now offer all breed coursing titles. No doubt a response to UKC's all breed coursing program.

Yay! Too bad lure coursing is the one sport Bianca doesn't really like... My Golden enjoyed it.

I tried to contact a Lure Coursing group back in Savannah, GA when I went to visit there to see if my dogs could give it a shot. They ignored every email and phone call from me. Anyway, just had to say that as it's left a bad taste in my mouth for LC groups.

I hope we have tests here too . . . I've wanted to try lure coursing for awhile. I bet Helki and Rain would have a blast!

If you read the link I posted, you will see that it is no longer limited to sighthounds. AKC and UKC both now have all-breed coursing titles

You can't judge all LC groups by one bad experience. The one around here welcomes all breeds to their practice runs. That makes me hopeful they will have the same attitude towards offering all-breed coursing at trials. When UKC introduced this concept last year, some sighthound people on their forum were not pleased about all breeds being allowed and some were fine with it. We have the same thing around here with clubs allowing mix breeds at their AKC obedience trials. All of the agility trials have been allowing them but our local club's obedience trials have not. I guess some in the obedience community are not fully embracing the idea at this time.
