Default Biked w Dexter for first time

I bought a K9 cruiser attachment for my bike and went out for the first time today with the GSD. We just walked, me pushing the bike and him getting used to that thing moving at first. I then proceeded to hook him to it all the while encouraging him and getting him used to the command "Trek". This is the word I will use for biking. He took to it really fast so i got a little braver and decided to try to ride with him attached. I used the prong collar so he would not just take off and it worked really well. He loved the bike!!! When I got to around 6 mph he started wagging his tail and just fell into stride. It was GREAT!!!!
I am really looking foward to training with him beside me. I want to enter the AD in about 3 mo.

Nice! I love the K9 Cruiser... I miss mine, it was stolen along with my bike a few months ago. :/ I always use a harness when I bike with my dogs.
I'm trying to decide which attachment I should get to replace it.

My old Shepherd would just jog alongside my bike with the leash loose on my wrist, I never had a problem with him and he loved it. My young man on the other hand is a terror. If I am on the bike in the yard and he is off leash he tries to attack my tires and crisscrosses my path and its dangerous. When I get him leashed he takes off like a wild stallion and pulls like hes a crazed sled dog.

I want to find one of those attachments that hooks to the seat post and do some work teaching him how to ride with me. Anyone know the name or have a link to the seat post attachment dog guides?

I took Jelce out several times last year with just the leash in my hand. He stays by my side when i mow the yard on the tractor and loves running along side the 4wheeler when emptying the horse buckets. I didn't figure the bike would be to hard for him.

This year i bought the walkydog attachment and their dog water bottle because i think were going to hit some actual trails /parks instead of just the neighborhood.
